Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Cochin – Munnar  (Drive: 140 km / 4 Hours)
 
On arrival at Cochin airport our representative / Driver  will meet you and directly transfer to Munnar. Enroute visit the beautiful Cheeyapara & Valara waterfalls. Enjoy the breathtaking and glorious waterfall cascade down the seven steps. Arrive at Munnar and check in to the resort. Munnar - Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is situated 1600 Meter above sea level. Once the summer resort of erstwhile British Government in South India and the best hill station with sprawling tea plantations in the state. Blessed with a rich variety of flora and fauna with the most well known Neelakurinji (botanical name: Strobilanthus) flowering once in 12 years. Balance of the day you are at leisure to enjoy on your own. Overnight stay at Munnar.
 
Day 02:  Munnar Local Sightseeing
 
After breakfast, spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. Munnar was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai were the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted. Overnight stay at Munnar.
 
 
Day 03: Munnar –Thekkady   (Drive: 99 km / 3 Hours)
 
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. Situated within the confines of the Western Ghats in the southern Indian state of Kerala, Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world. The picturesque lake in the heart of the sanctuary was originally 26 sq km but now spans an area of 55 sq km. This perennial source of water, which initially led to the submersion of large tracts of forestland, slowly attracted wild animals. It eventually resulted in the adjoining forests being granted protection. Post-1975 Periyar finds itself in the enviable position of being a protected tiger reserve. The terrain ranges from hilly to flat grassland areas at the edges of the lakes. The vegetation is of moist deciduous type. Arrive at Thekkady and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
 
Day 04: Thekkady Local Sightseeing
 
Breakfast at your hotel later proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady - one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves. The Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride can be done at an extra cost. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
 
Day 05:  Thekkady – Backwaters Cruise   (Drive: 140 km / 4 Hours)
 
After breakfast, check out from the resort and drive to Alleppey. Arrive at Alleppey and board the houseboat at noon for a backwater cruise and for an overnight stay. While cruising in these floating luxury- villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed- down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Overnight stay in houseboat.
 
Day 06:  Alleppey – Kovalam   (Drive: 160 km / 4 Hours)
 
Disembark from the houseboat at 0900hrs after a refreshing breakfast on board and drive to Kovalam, one of the most popular beach destinations in Kerala. Enroute visit Thiruvananthapuram literally means 'the abode of Anantha', the snake God. The main attraction of the city is the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Vishnu (also known as Padmanabha) reclining on the snake Anantha. The imposing gopuram (gateway tower) and intricate sculptures of the temple make it a very popular tourist attraction. Later visit Napier Museum, an art and natural history museum which houses a collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Sri Chitra Art Gallery (Closed on Mondays & Wednesday forenoons) displays the original paintings of Raja Ravi Varma which houses a collection of paintings from the Rajput, Mughal and Thanjore schools. The collection also includes unique copies of Indian mural paintings from pre-historic times down to the 18th century. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
 
Day 07: Enjoy Beach  or  Optional tour Kanyakumari Excursion
 
Breakfast at your hotel, rest of the is free for leisure – enjoy your day on beach activities, shopping or go for an optional (Additional charge), excursion to Kanyakumari - one of the most gorgeous holiday, cultural and historical tourist destinations in India. On your way, you can visit the historical Padmanabhapuram Palace of the Maharaja of Travancore and the holy Suchindram Temple. Arriving in Kanyakumari, get a view of the confluence point of the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal. Following this, take an exciting boat ride to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the meditation ground of Swami Vivekananda. Revelwith golden views of the setting sun, and ride back from the memorial. Post this, you will be driven back to Kovalam for your overnight stay.
 
Day 08 :  Kovalam- Trivandrum –Depart.

Getup early for a beautiful view of Sunrise. After breakfast check out the resort and drive to Trivandrum airport to fly back home with the wonderful memories of your tour.

Inclusions

• Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of   booking.

• There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.

• Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.

• Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.

• Vehicle will be not at disposal. If guest wish to go for additional sightseeing extra charges will be applicable

• Personal identification is mandatory to carry on tour for Air Travel, Hotels for security reason like: election card, Driving Licence, Passport

• Driver is NOT A GUIDE, he will take you to the sightseeing’s mentioned in the itinerary. You will have to explore the place of visit on your own. Itinerary is subject to change.

• If the above hotels are not available similar category hotels are used as hotel rooms are subject to availability

• The above given prices are subject to change without prior notice

• The quotation is based on Standard room of individual hotel, however if unavailable then the upgrading cost to be borne by the guest.

 

• If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges.

• Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation

• Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.

• Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.

• Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.
